Privacy Policy

ASOblick is built so that there is almost nothing to write a privacy policy about. The short version: the app collects no personal data, requires no account, and keeps everything on your Mac. The only personal data we ever hold is an email address you choose to give us on this website.

What the app stores

Your tracked apps, keywords, rank history, milestones, keyword research results, sales and advertising reports, saved reviews, screenshot projects with any frame images you import, and settings are stored locally on your Mac, inside the app's own container. So is everything you write in the app: log entries and their notes, metadata drafts and the publish records you save, and saved idea lookups. None of it is transmitted to us. We have no servers and no copy of your data.

What the app sends over the network

• Rank checks query Apple's public iTunes Search API (itunes.apple.com), the same public endpoints anyone can use in a browser. These requests contain the keyword being checked, a country code, and an app's public App Store ID.
• Keyword research queries Apple's public search-suggestions endpoint with the terms being explored.
• Chart positions and reviews come from Apple's public chart and review feeds, requested by public App Store ID.
• App icons shown in the interface are downloaded from Apple's public image servers.

All of these requests go directly from your Mac to Apple and contain no personal identifiers. Nothing passes through any server of ours.

Optional connections you can add

Two features let you connect your own Apple accounts with keys you create yourself. Both are optional, and everything else in the app works without them.

• The Revenue module can use an App Store Connect API key you create in your own Apple account. The key is stored in your Mac's Keychain, Apple's built-in secure storage, and is only ever sent from your Mac directly to Apple's App Store Connect API to fetch your own sales reports. The reports are stored locally like everything else.
• The Apple Ads connection can use an Apple Ads API key the same way, to fetch your own advertising reports directly from Apple.

We never see, receive, or transmit these keys or the data they fetch. You can remove a key at any time in ASOblick's Settings, which deletes it from your Keychain.

Purchases

Subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple through the Mac App Store. We never see your payment details. Apple provides us no personally identifying information about buyers.

This website

The launch-notify form on this site collects one thing: the email address you type. It is stored with Resend, the email delivery service we use, on a list that exists solely to email you about ASOblick's launch and availability. We never sell or share it, every email we send lets you unsubscribe, and if you want the address deleted entirely, ask and we will remove it. The site itself sets no cookies and runs no analytics. It is hosted by Cloudflare, which handles the connection and sees the same technical details any web host does, such as your IP address; we have not turned on its analytics.

Analytics and tracking

The app contains no analytics, no tracking, and no third-party code.

Your data, your machine

Deleting the app does not delete its data. Everything ASOblick saves goes into one folder macOS gives it, in your home folder at Library/Containers/com.asoblick.asoblick, with the database file itself at Data/Library/Application Support/default.store inside that folder. ASOblick never deletes it, and dragging the app to the Trash does not either: on macOS, removing an app leaves its container behind. That is how the Mac treats every sandboxed app, not something ASOblick adds. If you want the data gone, delete that folder yourself.

If you added an API key, remove it in ASOblick's Settings before you delete the app. Keys live in your Mac's Keychain, which outlives both the app and its container, so a key you never removed stays there until you delete it, either in Settings or in the Keychain Access app that comes with your Mac (the items are listed under com.asoblick.connections). Beyond the email list above, there is nothing to request a copy of and nothing for us to erase, because we never had it.
